At a glance

Backwatt is a shooter video game.

About

Stuff your backpack with guns and hold out — together Backwatt is a co-op top-down action roguelite for 1–4 players. Drop into the arena, fight off waves of enemies and head back to the Barge to gear up. At its heart is your rig: your skill at managing space and planning your purchases decides how strong your build is. Pack your guns into the grid Every item takes up cells on the grid. Shotguns, bows and the katana just need room. Tesla coils, lasers and railguns also need energy: put them right next to a generator or run a wire to them. There is never enough power for everything, so every wave you decide what gets juice and what waits in storage. Two identical items merge into one of a higher level: more firepower, and a free cell for something new. Six waves and a boss Every wave is a job: hold out, take the capture points or blow up everything on the list. Then the zone starts closing in. Between waves you chill in the hold: buy new gear, repack the backpack, pick an upgrade and test your guns on the range. An act takes 15 to 20 minutes. "Wave's rolling. Strip it clean: bolts cost more than nerves these days." — Bob, dispatcher Bring your crew Play solo or team up with up to three friends online. Revive a downed friend by standing on the plate beneath them. Support modules in your backpack give nearby teammates armor, damage and healing, and every upgrade crate glows in its owner's color, so nobody fights over loot. Four seasons, four armies In spring, wolf packs hunt you and mines roll in. In summer, rhinos charge across the whole clearing. In autumn come shield bearers and flamethrowers, in winter the artillery opens fire. Pick your hero Six heroes, each with a passive, an active ability and a skill tree. Once the acts are cleared, there is Endless mode, where the seasons keep coming, and a marathon through every act. In the demo: 2 heroes, each with an ability and a skill tree 60 items: firearms, melee weapons, energy weapons, generators, modules Solo play and online co-op for up to 4 players 4 seasonal acts, each with its own enemies and boss Endless mode and a marathon through every act Full controller supportRead more
